The Blessing of Grandparents
“Grandparents Day”
is not until September.
But I am thinking of my baby’s grandparents. And my own. Thinking about how they have impacted my life. And the blessing of my daughter’s own grandparents love and care for her.
Thinking of their delight at seeing her and being with her.
Remembering their sorrow as the distance between them and her (us) become vast as the Pacific ocean, literally.
They are not perfect. But I am thankful.
- I am thankful that both sets of my baby’s grandparents are living and experience they grandchild.
- I am thankful for their experience and wisdom.
- I am thankful for their prayer for us because they know the joy, very real challenges, pains, fears, and delights of raising children.
- I am thankful for their love for for us and their grandchild.
- But most of all I am thankful for the godly inheritance they desire to impart to their “children and children’s children”
Thank you ,
