31 Days of Filipino Culture

My friend Christa who’s blog I read for great recipes and craft inspirations informed us that she’ll be participating in a fun  and rather crazzzy ;) blogg-y challenge next month.  Darcy at My 3 Boybarians is hosting this party and it’s an open invitation for everyone who dares to write and post something for 31 days straight…

So am I crazy enough to jump on the bandwagon?

You betcha-by-gulay!

Here it is:

Okey-Okey. “Filipino Culture”is quite broad of a topic. So look closely…do you see it?I inserted a little two-letter word that narrows the topic a little more: “MY”.   This means, mga kaibigan (my friends), that I will restrict my writing to the culture I grew up with. I will be writing everything Filipino: food, language, family, music, folk art/literature, geography, and even some history. It will be quite a journey for me. A journey back to my native country, though not physically.  I will be able to purposely think back on my roots, remember God’s grace and blessings with the heritage he has given me.  31 days to write them down and for my own children to read later on.Yes. I’m pretty excited. How about you?Any plans for October? Wanna join in the adventure?
  1. Pick a topic you’re passionate about.
  2. Announce it to the internet world your readers.
  3. Link it to Darcy’s blog.
  4. Write and post about it everyday (Beginning October 1. Ending October 31.)
It’s challenging.
It’s fun.
It’s crazy.
Let’s do it!

(Note: Since crashing my blog/theme, I have lost a good bit of images and audio files.  I am still in the process of uploading the entire website’s lost files. So i apologize in advance if you come across broken links…)
