2011 Booklist

These are in my “Read Me” shelf for the year 2011 which by the way is halfway over.  I am glad to write that I have already read most of them.  Some of these are gifts and some I purchased because they were highly recommended by friends.  I don’t have the  luxury of time to brave on reading a new book unless they come recommended by friends who hold the same values.  I may perhaps “read” more fiction, classics, or venture into the bestseller’s lists…if I can inherit my brother’s old Ipod / or if I get one for Christmas (hint, hint). Then I can listen to audio books.

1) Choosing Gratitude: Your Journey to Joy by Nancy Leigh de Moss (Read my review here)

2) Writing Tools: 50 Essential Strategies for Every Writer by Roy Peter Clark

3) On Becoming Baby Wise: Giving Your Infant the Gift of Nighttime Sleep by Gary Ezzo and Robert Buckman

4) Feminine Appeal by Carolyn Mahaney (Reviewed here)

5) Twelve Extraordinary Women: How God Shaped Women of the Bible, and What He Wants to Do with You
by John McArthur

6) Shepherding a Child’s Heart by Ted Tripp

7) Womanly Dominion  by Mark Chanski

8) The Mission of Motherhood: Touching Your Child’s Heart for Eternity Sally Clarkson

(Disclosure: These are affiliate links to Amazon.  I buy most of my books from them and do recommend shopping there.  If you do purchase books using these links, I will get a small commission. Definitely not enough to buy an Ipod :) But I will save up for a surprise gift to my hub-a-dub…so he’ll buy me an Ipod.  Gets?  Totally kidding. I love him so I want to give him a gift from my own pocket…whether he buys me an ipod or not! Just  ’cuz he’s a sweet loving guy…you’d like him.  I should probably end this disclosure now. Sorry I get carried away disclosing stuff ya’ know.)
